Loving Yourself First

Most people spend a lot of their time and money to look for the right person to love.  Many have been searching for a long time and yet, the love they want never come.  They simply forget that they can never give what they do not have.

A lot of self-help books teach us to fill ourselves with love and eventually this will be radiated to each person we will be meeting.  When we have this kind of feeling it is easier for us to love ourselves and this is the first step towards having a great and wonderful relationship with anybody.

Loving ourselves may be hard for us because the very first thing we see when we face the  mirror are the countless flaws that disturb us day in, day out.  Before we can conquer love, we must accept our flaws and treat them as something that make us stand out and different from others.  Another thing, we must approve of ourselves.  Some of us are not blessed with movie star looks but can still make other heads turn when they walk.  It is because they always think of themselves as unique, the flaws they have are seen as something that make them even more interesting.  These people have lots of self-confidence and they can live with happiness despite having imperfections.

The very first thing to do is to acknowledge our flaws and accept them.  We have to do it or else, we will live in place where only miseries, frustrations and unhappiness thrive.  Our success in life will always depend not on what good traits we have but on how we respond to stress and anxieties we encounter everyday.  Once we acknowledge and approve of ourselves, things will fall into their proper places.  Why is that so?   We now send a different vibration to the Universe.  We send positive feeling and this in turn gives us situation that will make us happy all the time.  When you are happy, you look and feel better.  You radiate everything good to every person you meet.  Loving ourselves will be easier now and we will be working on having more love in our life every day.  Isn't that wonderful?  We can stop looking for love because love will haunt us.  We can now give more love and we can now receive more love.  People start looking for us and we will be overwhelmed.  Love begets love.

Start your day with this affirmations taken from the book "You Can Heal Your Life" by Louise Hay:

I love myself.
I approved of my self

After sometime, all will be well in your life.

Why I Love Essential Oils

I love creating massage oil using essential oils.  I combine lavender, rose, vanilla and jasmine and the smell is perfect for me.  Don't you know that these essential oils that I mentioned have the power to attract love when they are being used?  According to those who are experts in the use of essential oils, these oils can attract money, relationships, jobs and whatever it is that you want to manifest in your life, by just having or mixing 4 types of oils with a carrier oil.  A carrier oil can be grape seed oil, virgin coconut oil, jojoba oil.  Essential oils are mixed with any of the above mentioned carrier oils because of their potent property which can cause skin irritation.  If you want to have a good night sleep, you can prepare your own oil for massage by mixing clary sage and lavender oil with any carrier oil of your choice.  You can even put a drop or two on your pillow and smell its relaxing scent.  Now, you are on your way to your dreamland.

Lavender oil mixed with a carrier oil can be used to massage parts with stretch marks.  Try it and you will notice that they get fade after several sessions.  It will also put you into sleep because of its soothing effect.   If you run out of mouthwash and there are lots of essential oils in your cabinet, try creating a mouthwash of your own.  Bring out peppermint, tea tree and eucalyptus essential oils, honey and purified water.  The rule is for every 10 ml of liquid you can have 4 drops of essential oils.  So be guided with this rule.  Do not forget to add a teaspoon of honey to sweeten the taste.  A big bottle is best consumed in three months, after that you have to make a new one.

If you want to really relax while taking a bath,  add essential oils on the water you will use.  In a teaspoon of milk, add a few drops of essential oils of your choice.  The milk will neutralize the oils so your skin is protected from irritation.  You will notice that after a while of doing this, you get glowing skin.

When you want to meditate, you can use essential oil with your burner, the scent is conducive to your activity and it keeps you focused on what you are doing.  Lavender is also a good choice.  Some opt to use eucalyptus, sandalwood or even jasmine.

There are many uses of essential oils and one would really love to have all of them.  They give magic to every user simply because the scent can take him anywhere-meditation, sleep, bathing.  So start collecting your essential oils and be ready to take a ride to the wonderland.

Meditation 101

A lot has been said about meditation but most people do not really know how and why they have to meditate.  Meditation involves one to sit or lie down and spend a few minutes closing his eyes and silencing the mind.  This activity results to a lot of benefits such as lowering of blood pressure, for those suffering from high blood pressure, and even lowering of blood sugar.  It makes one feel peace, harmony and joy.  However, there are certain guidelines one has to follow before peace can be attained.

Why do you have to meditate?  Medical practitioners recognize the beneficial effects of meditation and they usually prescribe this to their patients.  Studies revealed that meditation helps patients to live a harmonious life despite the presence of some illnesses in their bodies.  By completely erasing negative thoughts such as worries, fears, hatred, people begin to feel lighter and they learn to forgive their enemies.  This thing is critical when one suffers from long-standing illness such as cancer.  Letting go of  hurtful events and embracing change even cure some patients with this kind of disease.  However, a lot may not be able to follow or may not be keen to do this as this entails time that can be precious to some who work for long hours.  But one should just set aside certain time to do this activity and once you experience it, there is no turning back.  You will be hooked forever.

One can find a place or even a corner in a room and make it your meditation area.  You can make it more sacred by setting up a small table with candle, incense and burner with essential oil of your choice.  This way you can enjoy your meditation more and you will make it a daily habit in no time at all.  Sit with your legs crossed or you can copy the position of a yoga practitioner if you like.  Light the candle, incense and your burner with essential oil.  The smell of the oil will make it conducive for meditation.  The candle will help you concentrate.  Ever wonder why it has to placed in the altar?  Close your eyes and begin to mind your breathing.  Inhale deeply, hold it for seven to eight counts and before you exhale mentally state that you are removing all your negative thoughts.  As you breathe out feel those negative thoughts leaving your body permanently.  Do this for several times.  Silencing the mind means you think of nothing at all.  This is like giving your mind some bathing to clean it.  Once your done, open your eyes and you will immediately feel the wonder of meditation.  Try it now.

You can advance your meditation by uttering some affirmations mentally.  You can even ask your higher self to reveal to you the real you.  Your higher self is your other self, who checks on you, who guides you in everything that you do.  Just recognize the presence of your higher self and things will flow easily to you.

These are some of the benefits of doing meditation but there are still more to know and if I were you,  keep on doing this because more and more wonderful things will be discovered by you.  Although it will take more of your time, soon you will reap your rewards.  Trust me.

Between Someone Who Followed Her Passion And Someone Who Made It Big By Following Other Person's Wish: Who Is Happier?

In a recent get-together of former friends and classmates, one lady made an announcement of her being successful because she was able to work in a foreign country and earning a lot compared to her other friends.  This made some of her former classmates to raise their eyebrows and to whisper some nasty remarks.  Why?  When this lady was asked earlier by the host, she revealed that she was not really happy living in a foreign land because of problems like racial discrimination and language barrier.  Moreover, she misses her family so much that she often resorts to eating chocolates whenever depression sets in her mind.  The confession  was overheard by a former classmate who immediately tipped it to some of her friends.  But then, this lady knew how to wear a mask to hide her loneliness and even bragged about her imagined life in another country.

A lot can be said about living your dreams and following other people's wishes.  For one, if those wishes come from our parents we are naturally to follow them like slaves, sometimes.  However, while we are in that journey our own dreams are able to enter into our minds and once again hope that they are the ones we are following.  There are some people who will always say that following your passion does not guarantee an income like that of a millionaire.  They insist that before you follow your passion you must have been well-off.  This serves as sort of limiting beliefs to those who made it big by following their passions.  To these people, once you made the intention to live your own dreams, things will come and fall into proper place.  But it is still  a never ending argument to many people.

To those who made it big by following other people's wishes, hats off to them.. Imagine going through tough times, in a world  that is full of battles armed with only a few skills to use.  Isn't that exciting, at the same time a bit disappointing?  The happy part of this is that one gained enough skills and knowledge which he never imagined he could ever acquire.  A test of character which sometimes or most of the time results to achieving  success and triumph. They have interesting stories to tell.

To those who really followed their hearts' desires, they seem to float on cloud 9 always.  They are more peaceful, serene and full of accomplishments.  They also develop some characters which are responsible to their successes and triumphs.  They also have interesting stories to tell.

But the bottom line is:  Who is happier?  The one who followed his heart and live peacefully or the one who followed others' wishes and made to live in another land?  The answer?  To each his own.  Life is what you make it.  You choose your own battles.  You design your future.  You alone can tell if you are really happy or not.  What is important is that at the end of the day, you are still whole, harmonious and perfect.  Perfect for the current place and situation.  What you have been thinking in your mind is what other people see in you.  If you choose to think you are happy by following your own desire, then others will see that.  If you choose to believe that you are still happy despite following others' desires, you become that person.  It is all about making your choice in life.  But then, you really have to know what is good for you.

Looking Back But Moving Forward

I still think of the past.  Yes, I still do particularly the ones that happened only last year.  I know, it is not good to dwell on the past because I cannot do anything to change it.  The future, well, depends on what I think habitually.  I long for the past events because they serve as reminders to do  what has to be done now.  They are inspirations too as they force me to do better this year.  It is like yelling me not to procrastinate and do something now to achieve my dreams.

That is how I look back.  Only to remind myself to do better.  Not to play all those events in my mind and tell myself to go back.  Now, after remembering those events, I plan my goals.  I will enumerate the steps I have to take to be able to reach the top of the ladder where my dreams are located.  I plant my seeds in my mind and nurture them.  By nurturing, I visualize them with feelings of happiness as if the dreams have come to pass.  After that, I forget about it as I let the Universe to do something to make my dreams come true.  I consult my inner self from time to time to check on some insights, inspirations and use them.

Keep moving forward but I can look back once in a while.  It is good to remember past events particularly those that created big impact in our lives.  They have lessons to tell and these lessons will help us get through with what we are searching.  Our journeys will be fruitful and rewarding.

The past year has been a great year for me because it was the time that I declared my intention to go for my original dreams.  No ifs and buts.  The feeling was great then and up to now.  It was like I was freed from years of being chained with my own cell.  Now I know better.  I accept myself now and acknowledge that I do not have limitations when it comes to achieving my dreams.  Acknowledging our limitations is fine but you have to forget that because we are unlimited human beings.  We can be what we will to be.  We have power.  That power comes from your mind.  Everything starts from the mind and it is best to fill your mind with your dreams and good thoughts.  Creating our future is easy when we know that  we can design it.  We send our requests to the Universe or God and wait for them to come back to us physically.  That is how we should move forward.  We walk on the path that God has ushered us and if  we know that it is the right path for us, we can be sure of our victories in life.  Whatever hindrances get in the way, we are sure to be guided because we know that we always move forward and walk on the right path.

2010: Happy To Be Me

In my world there are only happiness, love, power, vitality and infinite goodness. The reason why I am happy to be my real self. In my world there are inspirations, dreams, hopes and goals. The reason why I stay energized and motivated. In my world there are good people, happy people, successful people, rich people. The reason why I am good, happy, successful and rich. However, the last two descriptions exist in the higher plane and awaiting their existence in the lower plane which is physical. In my world there are wonderful happenings that only I can relate to because I am the only owner of those circumstances. In my world there are abundance, prosperity, wealth and whatever great descriptions one can attach to material things. The reason why I feel great because I do not worry about my future. But one may ask me, "where is your world? It is like heaven where only great things are seen and felt." Do you want to know where my world is? You are right. It does exist in my mind and heart. In my spiritual plane. Only in that place can I feel and see those beautiful creations of God. But it is also possible to have it in the physical plane. Only if all people manage to reveal their true selves, which is the best creation of God. God's creation is full of love, power, abundance, prosperity, vitality. It is also full of hope, dreams, inspirations. People are good, successful, rich and happy. In other words, only beautiful things exist in the hearts of people. No more, no less. Being your true self is powerful and liberating and that is what God wants from you.

My Year End Report: Counting My Blessings

I have so many blessings to thank for and I could not ask for more at the moment. All I think is to thank God for all the good things and sometimes bad things that happened to me this past year. For one, I went back to blogging. I deliberately left this site early last year only to go back last quarter of this year. I was pressured to do other things in between this period and I opted to leave blogging. I thought of venturing into another field but writing would send feeler to me every now and then until I realized I had to do it because it was part of my original dreams- to write and inspire my readers.

I also gained a lot of friends who are into blogging. Although I have not met them personally, I am grateful that I came to know them at this point when my blogging skills have to be updated. Too bad, I have little time to view all of those blogs and I manage to view only a little of them everyday. I learn a lot from them and it is a great world to live in.

I reviewed my list of original dreams and my mission statement and I promised to fulfill them as soon as possible because I can feel that this is my time to really make big waves out of those dreams. Really, God has a mysterious way of telling me what to do in my life. When I ask Him, He does not answer. He just wants me to go on and He will be my guide. I went through a lot before and it dawned on me that I was born with a distinct mission in life that I have to fulfill or else I would not be able to live a life with a purpose. I look at the gift God has given me and it is only proper to make use of it. In that way I can serve Him the best way I can.

I learned that I have this tremendous power that I have to use. Only, that power will be of use if I can control what is in my mind habitually. Now, I only think of good thoughts so these things will be sent back to me by the Universe. I threw away all my self-limiting beliefs and I always remind myself that I have unlimited potentials which will help me live to the fullest. I also associate with people whom I think will inspire me to do my best and live the life I really want.

Finally, blogging has been my way of saying what is in my mind and I really know that my readers learn a lot from what I have been writing all along. I thank God for giving me this chance to reach people of different nations and interact with them every now and then. Truly it has been a fruitful and prosperous year for me. I truly believe that this coming year will be full of surprises because of the kind of seeds I have planted.
